This Privacy Policy explains how the Health Monitor Team (“we,” “us,” “our”) gathers, uses, and safeguards information when you use the Health Monitor mobile application (“the App”). By installing or using the App, you consent to the practices described below.
We do not sell your personal information, and we have never done so. Health data you enter into Health Monitor is stored on your device by default and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly opt into a feature that requires synchronization.
1. Information We Gather
We obtain information through four channels, each serving a distinct purpose:
1.1 Information You Provide Voluntarily
- Personal health entries: Data you manually log, such as blood pressure readings, heart rate measurements, blood glucose levels, body weight, height, age, and gender. This information resides on your device and is not uploaded to our servers by default.
- Support correspondence: When you contact us for assistance, we may receive your email address, device details, screenshots, and the content of your message.
- Preferences and settings: Any configuration choices you make within the App (measurement units, reminder schedules, display preferences).
1.2 Data Recorded Automatically
When you interact with the App, certain technical information is gathered automatically to ensure proper operation and improve the user experience:
- Device identifiers and technical specifications (hardware model, operating system version, screen resolution)
- Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Timezone, language setting, and country
- Session duration, interaction patterns, and feature usage metrics
- App performance data (crash reports, diagnostic logs)
- Advertising identifiers: device-level advertising IDs employed for analytics and attribution purposes
- Install referrer and attribution: tracks installation source for analytics and marketing attribution
1.3 Data Obtained via Third-Party Services
Advertising and analytics partners integrated into the App may independently gather device-level and interaction data through their own software development kits (SDKs). Details of these partners and their practices are described in Section 5 below.
1.4 Attribution and Referral Data
We may receive aggregated analytics and install-attribution data from partner platforms to understand how users discover and engage with the App.
Health metrics that you record within the App (blood pressure, heart rate, glucose, etc.) are not transmitted to or stored on our servers by default. Such data only becomes accessible to us if you voluntarily activate a cloud-based synchronization or data-sharing feature. Our advertising and analytics partners do not capture your specific health vitals or personal medical information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We employ the information we gather for the following purposes:
- Service delivery: To operate core App functionality — recording measurements, generating trend charts, delivering reminders, and rendering the user interface.
- Improvement and analytics: To analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and prioritize feature development.
- Customer support: To respond to inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and provide technical assistance.
- Personalization: To tailor content, recommendations, and advertising to your general interests and usage context.
- Security and fraud prevention: To detect, investigate, and prevent unauthorized access, abuse, or other harmful activities.
- Legal compliance: To satisfy applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
3. Android Permissions
The App may request certain device-level permissions to enable specific features. Every permission is optional; you may grant or revoke any of them at any time through your device’s Settings without affecting the App’s core functionality.
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Camera | Enables optional heart rate estimation through fingertip color detection when placed over the camera lens |
| Physical Activity Recognition | Detects motion patterns to provide context-aware health insights (e.g., resting vs. active state) |
| Notifications | Delivers measurement reminders, health tips, and relevant alerts at times you configure |
| Foreground Service / Background Execution | Maintains reliable reminder delivery and background data processing without being terminated by the OS |
| Internet / Network State | Required for analytics reporting, ad delivery, crash diagnostics, and optional cloud sync |
| Location | Used for regional analytics and to serve geographically relevant advertising content; not used to track your movements |
| Battery Optimization Exemption | Prevents the system from suppressing scheduled reminders or background health-tracking operations |
| Boot Completed | Restores scheduled reminders after the device restarts |
| App Badge / Launcher Integration | Displays notification count badges on the App icon for pending reminders |
4. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose data in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers and partners: With trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App, performing analytics, or delivering advertisements — subject to contractual confidentiality and data-protection commitments.
- Legal obligations: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
- Safety and rights protection: To protect the rights, property, or safety of the Health Monitor Team, our users, or the public.
- Business transitions: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have.
- Aggregated or de-identified data: We may share aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
5. Third-Party Services and Advertising Partners
The App integrates SDKs from third-party analytics and advertising partners to support free access and continuous improvement. These partners may independently gather device identifiers, IP addresses, advertising IDs, and interaction data in accordance with their own privacy policies. They are contractually bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection commitments and do not receive your personal health entries (blood pressure, heart rate, glucose readings, etc.).
You may limit personalized advertising by adjusting the advertising preferences on your device (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most Android devices) or by opting out through each partner’s respective mechanism.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you acknowledge that you provide information at your own risk.

Personal data provided through support requests is retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry and comply with legal record-keeping obligations.
